HOW JAIL NOTARIZATION WORKS
1. Confirm Facility Approval
Before scheduling, the requesting party must contact the correctional facility to confirm that notarization is permitted and determine the facility's appointment procedures.
2. Schedule Your Notary Appointment
Once facility approval and appointment requirements are confirmed, contact Elevated Notary Services to schedule a jail notarization appointment.
3. Prepare the Documents & Identification
Have the documents ready for notarization and ensure the incarcerated individual has acceptable identification as required by the facility and applicable notarial requirements.
4. We Come to the Facility
Elevated Notary Services travels to the approved correctional facility and completes the requested notarial acts in accordance with applicable requirements and facility procedures.
IMPORTANT: Correctional facilities have their own rules and procedures. Facility approval is the responsibility of the requesting party. Appointment access, identification requirements, document restrictions, and waiting procedures may vary by facility.
Includes travel to the correctional facility, one notarized signature/seal, and up to one hour of waiting time for the transaction.
Additional Signatures/Seals — $10 each
Additional Waiting Time — $50 per half-hour
A $100 minimum payment is required in advance to reserve your jail notarization appointment. This covers the base facility fee, including travel, one notarized signature/seal, and up to one hour of waiting time.
Any additional fees for extra signatures/seals or waiting time will be calculated after the appointment.
Full payment of all fees is required before completed notarized documents are released to the requesting party.
If the notarization cannot be completed due to unforeseen circumstances at the correctional facility, applicable signature fees may be refundable. Travel and other applicable fees are subject to the circumstances of the appointment.
Please note: The requesting party is responsible for confirming facility approval and appointment requirements before scheduling. Elevated Notary Services cannot guarantee access to a correctional facility or completion of a notarization when facility policies, security procedures, identification requirements, or other circumstances prevent the appointment from proceeding.
Identification: The individual receiving the notarization must have acceptable identification as required by applicable notarial requirements and the correctional facility. Identification requirements may vary by facility.
